As part of the strategic launch of our H3 Electrical and Solar brand, we undertook a significant initiative – the installation of Solar PV at our headquarters in Fforestfach, Swansea. This initiative was driven by our commitment to sustainability and our desire to mitigate the rising energy costs that are a common challenge for both businesses and residential properties.

The installation process involved the setup of 40 Trina Solar PV panels, a 10kw Solax Power Inverter, and PV Array Isolators. The procedure included the erection of scaffolding, the installation of holding brackets for the panels on the roof, the use of a cherry picker to lift the panels onto the roof, and the connection of cables from the panels to the inverter. Additional general work was carried out to ensure the panels and inverter were synchronized for electrical generation. Notably, the installation did not include any batteries and was completed within an efficient timeframe of approximately 18 working hours.

Currently, the system generates an average of 13kw/hr, with the potential to generate up to 20kw/hr. This capacity is sufficient to power the premises throughout the business day. Projections for the next business year estimate an impressive 80% reduction in the energy bill during the summer and up to a 40% reduction in the winter. These figures underscore the viability of Solar installation as a year-round energy solution for both commercial and residential entities.
