CCTV Upgrade at Hurns Beer Company - Swansea

Our team was recently dispatched to Hurns Beer Company, located just down the road from our Fforestfach headquarters in Swansea, to carry out an upgrade of their CCTV.

Hurns Beer Company, a specialist in distributing beverages to various commercial venues, required a new, comprehensive security system to safeguard their warehouse, the primary storage for their extensive drink inventory.

The project was led by newly certified engineer Charlie Walters, who, after an initial site assessment, concluded that a mix of bullet and turret cameras was necessary to cover both the internal and external areas of the premises comprehensively. The equipment installed included:

CCTV

  • A Dahua 16-channel 12TB storage Network Video Recorder.
  • Five Dahua 5mp WizSense Smart Network Bullet Cameras for external areas.
  • Eight Dahua 5mp 2.8mm IR Eyeball Network Cameras for internal areas.

The installation process spanned approximately 12.5 work hours, with Charlie leading the effort alongside Simon Hardman and apprentice Theo Anderson. Charlie remarked that the job demanded considerable skill and meticulous attention to detail, particularly in ensuring adequate cabling to replace the outdated wiring and in avoiding any disruption to the warehouse’s daily operations.
